Fitness Coach Mentoring - Intake Assignment

(Photo courtesy of Focus Sisters Photography)

Thank-you for your interest in this mentoring service  For me, I take great pride in being able to help individuals take their coaching knowledge and practice to the next level. Over the past 10 years, I have accumulated many hours of practical experience and studied rigourously to be where I am today. Please note, I take this service very seriously. If you do not hold up your end of the deal (i.e. completing the required homework in a timely fashion) then you will be removed as a client as there is a high demand for spots.

The individuals on the current waiting list will be e-mailed based on the date they first contacted us and stated they would like to be added to the wait list. If you do not receive an e-mail, then you do not have to complete the intake assignment as you will remain on the waiting list for your turn. Thanks for you patience.

If you would like to be added to the waitlist, please e-mail to confirm your place.

Part 1
Explain EXACTLY what you want from this service. Why you want to receive this service/education and who will benefit from this knowledge?

Part 2
"The Basics" - muscle/oxygen physiology
1a - describe in detail the process that one molecule of oxygen will go through (anatomy) on it ways from outside your mouth, to your blood, to your muscle (should take a few hundred words)
1b - describe what is the fate of oxygen transported into the lungs if a person is simply walking around during the day (i.e. based on that intensity of effort) - What happens in the muscle? What is it used for?
1c - describe what occurs in the blood to remove lactate/CO2 from around the muscular environment.
2a - describe the processes/neurotransmitters in detail that are involved to produce a muscular contraction beginning in the brain, ending in the junction between the neuron and muscle.
2b - describe the processes that occur once the muscle is "activated/de-polarized" (by the neuron) up to the contraction of the actin/myosin filaments
3 - describe the function of creatine phosphate? What is the fate of pyruvic acid in anaerobic glycolytic metabolism? What is the fate of pyruvic acid in aerobic metabolism? What is the importance of the electron transport chain? What are the differences in yield of ATP from glucose/glycogen vs. fatty acids?
